OVER 95 KILOMETRES OF ADVENTURE
Bike paradise
A leisurely tour today, a real calf killer tomorrow? Pitztal in Tyrol offers mountain bikers the complete package. There is actually no way to avoid the “Pitztal Bike Route”, which winds through the entire valley and from which all the other trails branch off. If you start in Imst you will reach Mittelberg after 42 kilometres and 1 400 metres in altitude – the last village before the glacier, which forms the end of the valley at 1 750 metres. Even the most experienced calculate six hours for this route.

Start in Scheibe. The 3.7 km long route to the Arzler Alm is almost relentless. With an average gradient of 13 percent, you work up quite a sweat despite the dense forest, which protects you from too much sunlight.
